• 3 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup apple sauce
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup raisins or currents
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Shared by my patient Barbara, these are great as a dessert with a cup of tea or coffee, and wonderful for breakfast on the go.

Make approximately one dozen.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Mix bananas, apple sauce, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large bowl
  3. Add oats, raisins, and nuts and mix until well blended. Scoop onto parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool on a rack.
